What We Do
STR Group is organised into four specialist divisions that share a single engineering team and a single standard. Most projects on the Adriatic draw on several of them — a coastal villa might begin with a feasibility study, pass through foundation design, and finish under our own site supervision.
STR Build
STR Build is our general contracting division, on site from groundbreaking to handover. We construct private villas, boutique hotels and small commercial buildings across Split, Zadar, Šibenik and Dubrovnik — coordinating the trades, sequencing deliveries through tight old-town streets, and holding the work to the tolerances the drawings specify. When a build is structurally demanding, our own engineers stay involved through completion.
STR Engineering
We start with the structure. Our engineering division designs foundations for the karst and steep coastal ground that defines the Dalmatian shoreline, and details frames to meet Croatia’s seismic code. We also work independently of our own sites — running feasibility studies, structural audits and retrofit designs for buildings we did not originally construct.
STR Development
STR Development carries projects from raw site to finished asset. We source parcels, run the numbers, and steer schemes through Croatia’s zoning and permitting process before a single foundation is poured. Partners and investors deal with one team that owns the work from due diligence through delivery.
STR Renovations
The Adriatic’s old towns are built in stone, and much of our work is keeping that stone standing. STR Renovations restores heritage-protected buildings — reinforcing centuries-old masonry, repairing facades and threading modern services through historic walls without erasing the original fabric. We work within protected zones and alongside the conservation authorities that govern them.
